Meet The Artist

Hi, I'm Rachel, the artist behind Tiger Lily Bayou.

I've always been drawn to nature, color, creativity, and self-expression. 

Tiger Lily Bayou was born from a dream to build a more creative life—one filled with joy, imagination, and meaningful work. The name comes from my two dogs, Tiger and Lily, whose playful personalities inspired not only the business itself, but also the spirit behind it. I wanted Tiger Lily Bayou to feel like a place: a whimsical corner of the world where bold self-expression, colorful art, and one-of-a-kind treasures come together.

Having spent most of my life in the South, I've always been inspired by the beauty of nature, wild gardens, winding waterways, colorful traditions, and the charm of things that feel a little untamed. The bayou represents that feeling perfectly—beautiful, mysterious, alive, and impossible to duplicate.

Through Tiger Lily Bayou, I create original artwork, whimsical home décor, and unique pieces designed to bring personality and happiness into everyday life. My work is inspired by the things I love most: nature, animals, nostalgia, color, playful design, and the belief that life should contain a little more wonder than it often does.

For many years, I chose practical paths and steady jobs over creative ones. While those experiences shaped me, I eventually realized that creating wasn't just something I enjoyed—it was something I needed. Art became a way to reconnect with myself, embrace who I truly am, and build a life that feels authentic.

Today, every piece I create is part of that journey.

My hope is that when someone brings home a piece from Tiger Lily Bayou, they feel a spark of joy. Maybe it reminds them of childhood wonder, makes them smile after a long day, or gives them permission to be a little bolder in expressing who they are.

Because life's too short for boring walls, boring décor, or hiding the things that make us unique.
